The process of the training path is described: no remorse, happiness, concentration, insight, knowledge of the Truth, and enlightenment.
Four types of students are described: those that attain enlightenment after hearing only a few words of Dhamma; those who attain enlightenment after a little reflection and study; those who study and practice for a long time but need the help of a master, an “excellent friend” to provide the key to enlightenment; and finally those who enjoy word and ideas so much that they may lose sight of the goal, but can still attain enlightenment with the help of an “excellent friend”.
